About The Role

We have a great work opportunity for an experienced Operator to join our Joint Venture landfill operation near Whitford, Auckland. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our company earthmoving equipment.

Key Responsibilities of the position will include:

• Operating a range of earthmoving equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures;
• Overseeing and managing the safe tipping of various wastes arriving at the site, and/or compact/cover waste in accordance with company/contractual requirements and applicable regulations;
• Informing and assisting visiting drivers of proper placement for dumping loads to ensure the safest and most effective spreading or compacting of waste or other materials.

To be successful in this role you need to have:

• Wheels, tracks and rollers licence as a minimum
• Relevant experience in operating earthmoving equipment, such as, but not limited to compactors, excavators, dump trucks and bulldozers
• Mechanical aptitude, around plant checks and routine maintenance
• Strong awareness of the industry
• Health & Safety - Site Safe certification (desirable)
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a challenging outdoor environment
• Appropriate endorsements for each machine which is required to be operated.
