About The Role

We are seeking experienced a Maintenance Fitter to join our friendly team based in Auckland.

The role requires 24 hours 7 day call-out response on a roster basis.

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring that the vehicles and associated equipment are maintained according to company policy and vendor recommended programmes as well as a roadworthy standard and meet legislative requirements.
  • Conducting technical inspections.
  • Maintaining vehicle records by annotating all inspections, servicing and repairs on the job sheet and in-cab Vehicle History File.
  • Requisitioning of repair parts and associated consumables in conjunction with the Maintenance Inventory Controller
  • Daily checks of all Vehicle Workshop tooling and equipment for serviceability and accountability.

 

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • National Certificate in Welding/Fabrication – Level 4, Qualification in welding to AS/NZS 2980
  • Proven experience in experience in maintenance of heavy vehicles
  • Proven in hydraulic and pneumatic systems diagnostics and maintenance as well as automotive electric/electronic systems fault diagnosis (desirable)
  • Experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential
  • Clean, full class 2 driver licence

 

You need to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team.
