About The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sorter who will join our team in Wellington to provide assistance to our staff to collect and sort kerbside recycling.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Collecting kerbside recycling bins from assigned streets and sorting into nominated areas of the collection vehicle
• Unloading recycling collection vehicles on return to the depot or other nominated facilities to make sure that all products are placed in the correct bay/sorting areas
• Assisting in the cleaning and general maintenance of vehicles
• Operating the vehicles to dispose of recycling and returning the bins to the collected areas
• Daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment are carried out

To be successful in this role you should have;

• Valid NZ driver’s licence is preferred but not essential

You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness and strength to be able to undertake the manual handling requirements of the role. Your self-motivation, ability to work independently with strong planning and time management skills alongside your commitment to grow will help you to succeed in this role.
