About The Role

We are looking for a Transfer Station Operator to join our supportive and friendly team in Levin.

In this role, you will have responsibility for the safe and tidy operation of the Waste and Recycle areas, while also directing / serving the public were appropriate. 

 

Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Controlling the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited by customers
  • Operating onsite plant and equipment
  • Directing traffic within the transfer station and provide general information to customers
  • Operating vehicles and mobile plant such as an excavator, forklift, or loader
  • Keeping the site litter free

 

Our ideal candidate will have;

  • Tracks and Rollers endorsements.
  • A current OSH Forklift Certificate and F endorsement.

You will have an understanding of current health and safety practices; demonstrate great communication skills, a “hands-on” approach, and great customer service skills.
