Compactor Maintenance Tradesperson

About the role

Based at our new facility in East Tamaki, this role is responsible for the inspection, servicing and repairs to all company compactors, containers, and associated equipment. Along with requisitioning of repair parts and consumables, maintaining job sheets and compactor records by annotating all inspections, servicing, and repairs. This position also provides a 24hr 7 day call out response on a roster basis.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes: 

  • Trade qualification in Fabricating, Fitting, and/or Welding
  • Qualification in welding to AS/NZS 2980
  • Experience in hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance
  • Experience in electric/electronic systems fault diagnosis (desirable but not essential)
  • Current NZ Forklift operator experience/qualification
  • Current NZ Driver’s Licence – Class 2 essential, Class 4 (desirable but not compulsory)
  • Experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) would be an advantage

You are health and safety conscious and have a mechanical aptitude. You enjoy working in a team, have a good sense of humour and equally comfortable working autonomously.
