About The Role 

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join our Operations and Technical Services team based in Redvale Landfill.

In this role, you are required to coordinate compliance activities, company policies, HSEQ System Management, ensure compliance against KPI's and Safety & Sustainability targets. The role will support the management team.

 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Investigating hazards, incidents or unsafe acts, and assist or participate in  investigations
  • Maintaining and Updating records in accordance with the HSEQ Management System and legislative requirements
  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining SOP’s and work instructions
  • Collecting, analysing and reporting on information/statistics relating to HSEQ
  • Act as first point of contact for site and operational managers for HSEQ matters, and liaise with the wider HSEQ team
  • Developing and coordinating site HSEQ plans
  • Project administrational work

This role will require to travel from time to time as it covers the whole of Operational and Technical Services team who are spread across NZ. Majority of the travel will involve Auckland sites. 

We are looking for a confident and highly effective communicator at all levels, both written and verbal; able to juggle multiple tasks and work under pressure. The successful candidate must have strong MS Office skills particularly in Excel and Word, and experience in using internal computerised systems. A full NZ driver’s licence is required.

Your self-motivation, with strong planning and time management skills, will help you to succeed in this role. Any previous relevant experience in a waste, construction or logistics business will be considered an advantage.  It is preferable that you will have working knowledge of HSEQ legislation, regulations and previous experience with HSEQ management systems.
