About Us:
At Waste Management, we take pride in providing top-quality waste management solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team. If you are passionate about ensuring the professional presentation and operational availability of our equipment, we want you on our team.
Primary Objective:
As a Spray Painter, your primary objective will be to effectively and efficiently paint all bins and other equipment in accordance with company policy, contributing to the overall maintenance and presentation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all bins and associated equipment are painted in accordance with company policy.
- Perform painting and presentation work on other equipment as required.
- Maintain organization and tidiness in the bin park area.
- Accurately record all ongoing painting work in the register.
- Update job processing information on the Job Work Sheet.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Inventory Controller to requisition paint and associated consumables.
- Conduct daily checks of all Spray Booth tooling and equipment for cleanliness, serviceability, and accountability.
Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Responsibilities:
- Embrace and support the company's vision for HSEQ standards and performance.
- Actively participate in our safety-first culture, supporting continuous HSEQ improvement and company-wide programs.
- Ensure that all workplace activities are carried out safely, meeting your duties of care obligations.
- Participate in risk management compliance and internal controls processes to effectively manage and minimize operational and legal HSEQ risks.
- Engage in training to acquire the necessary skills and experience to perform your role safely and competently.
- Adhere to the company's policies and procedures at all times.
General Responsibilities:
- Uphold the company's vision, mission, and values in all interactions and decisions, fostering a strong company culture.
- Contribute to Human Resource systems and initiatives to meet strategic business objectives.
- Develop strategies and allocate resources to uphold corporate governance standards.

- Undertake any other duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities as directed.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in steel preparation and painting.
- Experience in the application of graphic decals (desirable).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Forklift Operator Qualified.
- Current NZ Driver’s Licence.
